Dep Art Out – Trullo sito in Ceglie Messapica
Il trullo denominato Dep Art Out è situato nella campagna di Ceglie Messapica, esattamente nella Contrada Ulmo, non distante dalla omonima pineta, e in direzione di Martina Franca. Il trullo Dep Art Out è una antica costruzione che è stata recentemente sottoposta ad un restauro conservativo per riportare tutta la pietra al suo antico candore e lasciando completamente visibile l’incredibile lavoro “a secco” dei tipici coni. La riqualificazione della “rizza” ha anche permesso di ottenere una ampiezza sufficiente per camminare intorno ai coni. La dimensione interna del trullo è di circa 20 mq e internamente rispecchia la classica composizione di un trullo, quindi, il caratteristico cono centrale, la cui struttura è ben visibile anche dall’interno, che sovrasta la stanza circolare principale, e le due alcove posizionate ai lati di forma semi-circolare. Il pavimento interno è in cemento battuto. Nella parte esterna è presente una corte di circa 80 mq, di forma rettangolare, delimitata da circa 40 m lineari di muretti a secco, pavimentato in brecciolino bianco. Tutta questa struttura è collocata al centro di un terreno di circa 8600 mq, in una bellissima posizione leggermente rialzata. Sono presenti diversi alberi di mandorlo, che sono stupendi durante la fioritura primaverile, alcuni ulivi e altri alberi da frutto e di macchia mediterranea. Arrivando dalla strada, si viene accolti da un maestoso albero di castagno, mentre sulla destra è possibile ammirare un altrettanto grande albero di noce. Proseguendo su una breve strada sterrata, in poche decine di metri si arriva al trullo, al quale si accede tramite la corte.
Una caratteristica comune a tutti i trulli è la posizione della porta di ingresso che è sempre, e in ogni caso, affacciata ad est, quindi illuminata dalla luce del mattino, mentre il tramonto è sempre alle spalle, il che rende possibili bellissime inquadrature con i colori incredibili dei cieli pugliesi.
Per quanto riguarda l'illuminazione, all'interno del trullo è presente un'illuminazione a pavimento che punta quindi verso l'alto, mentre nella parte esterna sono presenti tre tipi di illuminazione: una che accompagna tutto il giro della corte, un'altra posizionata sulla rizza del trullo, che illumina i coni dei trulli in maniera spettacolare, e una più generica che illumina il camminamento intorno al trullo. È da notare che questa illuminazione non è collegata direttamente alla linea elettrica e che noi utilizziamo un generatore ad energia solare, ma ovviamente si può collegare qualunque generatore, anche i più classici a benzina.

Dep Art Out – Trullo located in Ceglie Messapica
The trullo called Dep Art Out is located in the countryside of Ceglie Messapica, exactly in Contrada Ulmo, not far from the homonymous pine forest and in the direction of Martina Franca. The Dep Art Out trullo is an ancient building that has recently undergone a conservative restoration to bring all the stone back to its former whiteness and leaving the incredible "dry" work of the typical cones completely visible. The redevelopment of the "rizza" (which has the function of massive structural buttress with respect to the thrust of the domes) has also made it possible to obtain sufficient width to walk around the cones. The internal size of the trullo is about 20 square meters and its internal layout is the classic composition of a trullo, therefore, with the characteristic central cone, whose structure is also clearly visible from the inside, which overlooks the main circular room, and the two alcoves positioned on the sides of a semi-circular shape. The internal floor is in beaten concrete. On the outside there is a courtyard of about 80 square meters, rectangular in shape, bordered by about 40 linear meters of dry stone walls, paved in white gravel. This whole structure is located in the center of a land of about 8600 square meters, in a beautiful, slightly elevated position. There are several almond trees, which are beautiful during spring flowering, some olive trees and other fruit trees and Mediterranean scrub. Coming from the road, you are greeted by a majestic chestnut tree, while on the right you can admire an equally large walnut tree. Continuing on a short dirt road, in a few tens of meters you arrive at the trullo, which is accessed via the courtyard.
A common feature of all the trulli is the position of the entrance door which is always, and in any case, facing east, therefore illuminated by the morning light, while the sunset is always behind us, which makes possible beautiful shots with the incredible colors of the Apulian skies.
As far as lighting is concerned, inside the trullo there is floor lighting which therefore points upwards, while on the outside there are three types of lighting: one which accompanies the entire circuit of the courtyard, another positioned on the rizza of the trullo, which illuminates the cones of the trulli in a spectacular way, and a more generic one which illuminates the walkway around the trullo. It should be noted that this lighting is not connected directly to the electricity line and that we use a solar energy generator, but obviously any generator can be connected, even the most classic petrol ones.
